I bought lots of bits that the children could decorate and then gave them a selection of materials to use. They could chose what they wanted to make, how much they wanted to make and then popped everything in a gift bag with a card.
I think they came up with some lovely gifts and cards. I showed them the idea of turning a picture in to a cup and sticking it to the card front. Some of the children wanted to do this and others wanted to make their own design. The ones with a cup on the front had a tea bag added to the card!
The children even decorated their own gift bags.
We made wooden fridge magnets, painted ceramic hanging hearts and vases. Painted wooden mum signs and trinket boxes.
The mum’s were very happy to receive their gifts and the children were super excited to give them!
