Hannah came with us again and brought her parachute with her. Heather and Hannah organised some parachute games while I looked after the babies/ toddlers in the mud pie area!
I gave her a bucket of sand and mud to play with and she added some to the wet bucket, using a finger to mix it in.
The older children enjoyed the mud pie area as well. they ran back and forth from the outside tap to collect water to mix with the mud.
Lovely mud!
The youngest members of our group explored the little dens, sand pit and logs that were in the area.
“E” had a great time bug hunting. She was in her element!
Brendan had a little rest on a log!
Very soon we were all heading for the stream with our welly boots on!
It became very clear, very quickly that wellies should be ditched and bare feet in the mud was the way forward….. and felt fantastic!
Some of us put more than just our feet in the mud!
It was a lovely opportunity to encourage team work and helping each other out. Someone would get stuck and others would come and rescue them!
