During our visit to Hughendon Manor the children took part in the bug hunt around the walled garden. To start with we thought we were looking for actual bugs or pictures but then we realised we were looking for big plastic bugs! Some of these were really well hidden and took some group efforts to find. This was really good though as it meant that children that ran ahead did not always find the bugs and gave everyone a chance to spot them.
Each area had a little sign with a number and a clue on it.
This one was very tricky. The logs looked like they must be hiding something but nothing obvious. Then one of the children worked out that the log could be opened! Clever hide!
