Being outside and with nature really does make a huge difference to how we feel day by day. Connecting with nature and being outside reduces stress hormones and releases endorphins that chill us out and make us happy. This is true of babies as well as adults. So next time you have a grizzly baby and all obvious routes have been checked (such as nappy, wind and hubger) try taking your baby outside and letting them connect with the earth.
Watching the sky for clouds and birds, touching a flower or grass, feeling the breeze on their skin. It’s all part of reconnecting with nature. Even feeling the rain on us! My son was a real rain loving baby!!
So don’t be afraid of introducing children to nature as early as you can!
