Christmas at the Garden Centre

Ohhh Christmas is so exciting!

Today I took T, F and L to the garden centre to look at all the christmas lights and fun decorations. They were so engaged an excited by the colour and bright lights. The textures of the displays, ornaments and tress, the smells of pine and cinnamon and orange. All create a wonderful sensory experience for the children.

Lots of conversations were had about where Father Christmas might be living and how does he deliver all the presents? Children have some very good ideas about how this can happen. L and T said he travels very fast and might get very fat eating all the cake and mince pies.

F enjoyed the musical items best of all and had a little bounce every time we came to one. Bobbing his head from side to side with a big smile on his face.

We also talked about shape, colour, counted the decorations and talked about size. This one is bigger, This one is smaller. I can see 3 of the Reindeer.
